Volleyball
Tyler-Palmer is named Offensive Player of the Week after leading Nova Southeastern to a 2-1 week, including a conference victory. The freshman had a double-double in both Sharks' victories. After a nine kill, 10 dig effort against Palm Beach Atlantic, she posted 14 kills and 21 digs in a four-set win Friday against Embry-Riddle, and then helped facilitate a sweep of Rollins with a team-best 14 kills and 11 digs. She also had a hitting percentage of .324 in the latter win. With the play of Tyler-Palmer, Nova Southeastern is 18-10 overall, 8-5 in SSC play.
Brindl Langley / Florida Southern College / Libero / Jr. / Camas, Wash.
Langley takes SSC Defensive Player of the Week following a season high performance and a 2-0 week for the Moccasins. Langley posted double-digits digs in both matches this week for Florida Southern, including a career and season-high of 41 digs in the five-set match win over Eckerd. Forty-one digs is second-most ever by a Moccasin in school history and the most by a FSC player since Courtney Veasey set a school record with 43 digs against Tampa. Florida Southern is 20-6 overall, 8-5 in SSC play.
Swimming
Thiago Sickert / Nova Southeatern University / Jr. / Vila Velha, Brazil
Sickert won every race he swam in this past weekend. Against Indian River, the junior swam three NCAA B-Standards times including the 50-free, 100-free and 100-fly. His times were 20.61, 45.15 and 49.22, respectively. Against Rollins, Sickert swam a NCAA B-Standard of 1:49.75 in the 200-fly to secure victory.
Alli Crenshaw / Florida Southern College / Sr. / Marietta, Ga.
Crenshaw had NCAA provisional qualifying times in three of her four individual races during a weekend quad meet against Florida State, Florida Gulf Coast and West Florida. She also helped the 400-freestyle relay team reach a provisional time. Her "B" times came in the 200-freestyle, 500-freestyle, and 1,000-freestyle, and she narrowly missed another one in the 100. Her fourth-place finish in the 1,000 was the best by a Florida Southern swimmer over the weekend.
