Course Information

The North Course at Lake Jovita Golf Club in Dade City, Florida
The University of Tampa will host the men's championship at the North Course at Lake Jovita Golf Club in Dade City, Florida. Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club offers two championship courses, the North and the South course. Both courses sprawl across a verdant landscape covered with mature oaks, lakes, and ponds. The 263-acre North course in every essence is worthy of a compliment. Architect Kurt Sandness, is also the genius behind Lake Jovita's South course. A little more contemporary in style, the North course has even greater elevation changes than the South; providing golfers with positively incredible views of the community. The North Course continues the tradition of the South Course in terms of movement and elevation changes that are contrary to most Florida courses.

The University of Tampa will host the men's championship at Lake Jovita Golf Club in Dade City, Florida. For the fifth-straight year, the 54-hole SSC tournaments will be broken into three days of 18 holes each. Dates for the competition are Sunday, April 14th - Tuesday, April 16th.

NCAA Division II Championship Records: Men & Women

Men's Regional Tournament: Thursday, May 9th - Saturday, May 11th at Mission Inn Resort and Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.

NCAA Championship Tournaments: Monday, May 20th - Friday, May 24th at The Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels, West Virginia.

Recent SSC Golf History
In 2018, Lynn captured the program's first National Championship, defeating the University of West Florida. Florida Southern's John VanDerLaan won the Individual National Championship becoming the SSC's 13th person to do so. Florida Southern men's golf claimed the 2017 national title. Saint Leo won in 2016 making the win the university's first team national championship in any sport. Nova Southeastern defeated Lynn in the 2015 NCAA Championship to win its second in four years. Between NSU's titles, Barry went back-to-back defeating Nova Southeastern (2014) and Lynn (2013). Nova Southeastern swept both the men's and women's national titles in 2012. Florida Southern last won in 2010, but the Moccasins won five of the six national titles from 1995-2000 and have claimed a total of 12 national titles. Rollins claimed its second national title in 2002 and finished runner-up the next year. The men's golf SSC championship record books date back to 1991.

-The Par 5-11th hole on the South Course features a 94-foot drop from tee to green - the largest natural elevation change of any course in the state of Florida.

- It is the seventh-straight year for teams to play a 54-hole SSC tournament broken down into three days of 18 holes each... 2019 marks the 38th men's tournament for the conference.
- Nova Southeastern's Juan Jose Guerra will be looking to win back-to-back SSC championships for the first time since 2008 and 2009 winner Greg O'Mahony.
- The last time the SSC Championship was played at Lake Jovita, Barry's Adam Svensson won the event shooting a seven-under (209) for the week.
- Florida Tech won the 2018 team championship with a 19-under, 833. It was the first SSC title for the Panthers.
- Florida Southern (16) has won the most SSC men's titles, followed by Rollins (5) and Nova Southeastern (5)

SSC Men's National Championship Quick Facts...
- Men's golf teams have won 24 national championships. The most of any sport sponsored by the SSC.
- Lynn captured its first ever golf title in 2018 and SSC schools have won the last seven NCAA titles; an SSC school was also runner-up four times during that span.
- Florida Southern won the 2017 title, its first since 2010 and 13th overall...FSC's 13 national titles are the most by any conference team in any sport.
- Before the Moccasins hoisting the trophy last season, Saint Leo captured the championship in 2016. It was the first national title in Saint Leo history.
- Tampa's Jeff Leonard became the first 2-time individual national champion (1987 & 88). FSC's Tim Crouch became the fourth and latest (2013 & 14).
