Men’s Final Round Recap

Weiland brings the Buccaneers program its fifth individual SSC title after tying the fifth lowest three-day score in SSC tournament history. The senior from Linkoping, Sweden followed a first round 1-under (71) with back-to-back 4-under (68) performances to finish at 9-under (207) and capture the trophy. Over his three rounds, Weiland recorded just six bogies on the Par 72, 7100 yard North Course at Lake Jovita.

Juan Jose Guerra of Nova Southeastern University finished in second place with an overall score of 7-under, while Agustin Errazuriz of Lynn University ended up in third place at 6-under. Rounding out the medalist honors are Jorge Garcia and Daniel Faccini of Barry along with Tomas Gana of Lynn who all tied for fourth at 4-under.

Barry has once again displayed its dominance at Lake Jovita as all five players finished within the Top-10. This year the Buccaneers leave Dade City after achieving 20-under par as a unit, which is the lowest three-round score in SSC tournament history. The mark bests Barry’s 19-under at Lake Jovita that earned the Buccaneers trophy number two.

Lynn finished second in the team competition at 14-under, a mark that ranks seventh in league history. Four Top-20 competitors powered the Fighting Knights. Nova Southeastern takes third-place finish with a 1-over final score. Three Sharks finished Top-15, lead by Guerra in second place.
