She becomes the third Mocassin to win the award

MELBOURNE, Fla. - Jackie Stoller from Florida Southern College is honored as the 2022-23 Sunshine State Conference Woman of the Year. The two-time First Team All-American becomes the third Moccasin to win the award.

Athletic Directors, Senior Woman Administrators, Athletic Communication Directors, and Faculty Athletic Representatives from each of the league's 11 member institutions selected Stoller from a pool of nominees. Candidates were scored based on the NCAA's Woman of the Year guidelines.

Stoller, a graduate student from Wayland, Massachusetts, served as team captain of the FSC lacrosse team. This past season, the Moccasins finished as the no. 2 ranked team in the nation after falling to the eventual-National Champion Pace University in the NCAA National Semifinals.

Stoller graduated from Lehigh University with a 3.62 GPA in Finance and Accounting before posting a 3.85 GPA in the FSC Master of Business Administration program. She saw several accolades roll in for her performance on and off the field this past season which concluded with her being named the 2023 Polk County Female Collegiate Athlete of the Year, announced in June.

She was a two-time First Team All-American by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) and USA Lacrosse Magazine, First Team IWLCA All-South Region, First Team and Player of the Year in the Sunshine State Conference while earning College Sports Communicators Academic All-District and SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll honors.

After her first season on the field for the Moccasins, where she started and played in all 22 games, Stoller posted 107 points which ranks second in program history for a single season and is the SSC's record for individual single-season points. She finished the year with 66 goals and 41 assists, both ranking fourth all-time in Moccasin history for a single season, where she had 21 free position goals, third in program history.

She is the third Moccasin to win the league's Woman of the Year award, joining Emily Santoli (lacrosse, 2018) and Addison Cantor (cross country, 2020). Stoller will represent the SSC and Florida Southern as a 2023 NCAA Woman of the Year nominee.
