Soccer [Championship Central: Men | Women]
The 2017 Sunshine State Conference Men's & Women's Soccer Championships will be hosted by members institutions*. Quarterfinals will take place Tuesday, October 31st. Semifinals will be Friday, November 3rd. Finals will be on Sunday, November 5th.
NCAA Postseason: Winner of the men's and women's tournaments will receive automatic qualification to the 2017 NCAA Division II Soccer Championships. The opening round of the NCAA Division II Championship is scheduled for Thursday, November 9th - Sunday, November 19th at non-predetermined sites. Semifinals and finals for both men and women will be Thursday, November 30th - Saturday, December 2nd in Kansas City, Missouri. All championship teams and seeding will be announced by the NCAA on Monday, November 6th, here.
*In the event that the same institution is the top seed in both the men's and women's championships, the following procedure will be used: In odd years, the top-seeded women's team and the second-best men's seed will serve as Final Four hosts; in even years, the top-seeded men's team and the second-best women's seed will serve as Final Four hosts.
Cross Country [Championship Central]
Nova Southeastern University will host the 2017 Sunshine State Conference Men's & Women's Cross Country Championships. The event will take place on Saturday, October 21st at South County Regional Park in Boca Raton, Florida.
NCAA Postseason: Florida Southern College will host the regional competition on Saturday, November 4th at Holloway Park in Lakeland, Florida. NCAA Finals will be held Saturday, November 18th at Angel Mounds in Evansville, Indiana. Southern Indiana University and the Evansville Sports Commission are co-hosts for the championship.
Volleyball
The 2017 Sunshine State Conference women's volleyball regular season champion will have an automatic qualifier to the NCAA regional.
NCAA Postseason: NCAA regionals begin on Thursday, November 30th at non-predetermined sites. The finals will be held Thursday, December 7th - Saturday, December 9th at the University of West Florida Field House in Pensacola. All Division II volleyball championship teams and seeding will be announced by the NCAA on Monday, November 20th, here.
Swimming [Championship Central]
The Sunshine State Conference Men's and Women's Swimming Championships enters its eighth year. Rollins College is set to host the 2018 event, which will be held at the Long Center in Clearwater. Dates for the championship are Thursday, February 22nd - Sunday, February 25th. The event returns to the Long Center after four straight years at the YMCA Aquatic Center in Orlando. Previously, the SSC championship was held at the Long Center in 2012 and 2013.
NCAA Postseason: Individual qualifiers to the NCAA championship will be determined by "A" and "B" standards. NCAA Championships take place Wednesday, March 14th - Saturday, March 17th at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina. Basketball [Brackets and Championship Central: Men | Women]
Higher seeds will host during the quarterfinal rounds of the 2018 Sunshine State Conference Men's & Women's Basketball Championships. Semifinals and finals will be held at the George Jenkins Field House on the campus of Florida Southern College in Lakeland. The SSC tournament quarterfinals will take place Wednesday, February 28th, semifinals will be Saturday, March 3rd followed by the finals on Sunday, March 4th.
Both tournaments move to the George Jenkins Fieldhouse after two years at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's ICI Center. Prior to ERAU, the tournaments spent 2013 - 2015 at the Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee.
NCAA Postseason: Winners of each championship will receive automatic qualification to the 2018 NCAA Division II Championships. Regional competition will take place at non-predetermined sites. Women's basketball regional play begins Friday, March 9th, while men's regional play starts Saturday, March 10th. The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and Sioux Falls Sports Authority will host the men's and women's elite eight, national semifinals, and the national championship at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Women's Elite Eight competition starts Monday, March 19th. The men's Elite Eight is slated to tip on Tuesday, March 20th. Golf [Championship Central: Men | Women]
Once again, the Sunshine State Conference men's and women's golf championships will be hosted at two separate locations. Lynn University will host the women's championship from Sunday, April 15th to Tuesday, April 17th. The women's championship will at Osprey Point Golf Course in Boca Raton. Nova Southeastern University is set to host the men's championship from Sunday, April 22nd to Tuesday, April 24th. The men's championship will be at Grande Oaks Golf Club in Davie. Previously, the men's and women's championship was held there in 2010.
NCAA Postseason: Team and individual champions will represent the SSC at the NCAA Regionals. The women's regional will take place Monday, May 7th - Thursday, May 10th at the Germantown Country Club in Germantown, Tennessee. The women's NCAA championship will be held Wednesday, May 16th - Sunday, May 20th at Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston, Texas. Regional dates for the men are Monday, May 7th - Thursday, May 10th at Rock Barn Golf & Spa in Conover, North Carolina. The men's NCAA championship will take place Monday, May 21st - Friday, May 25th at the Fighting Joe Course at Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Tennis [Championship Central]
Lynn University will host the 2018 Sunshine State Conference men's and women's tennis championships. The tennis championship will be held at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. Dates for the event will be Thursday, April 19th - Saturday, April 21st.
NCAA Postseason: Winners of each championship will receive automatic qualification to the 2018 NCAA Division II Championships. First and second rounds for the 2018 NCAA Championships will be played at non-predetermined sites Saturday, April 28th - Tuesday, May 1st. Men's finals will take place Wednesday, May 9th - Saturday, May 12th, while the women's finals will be held Tuesday, May 8th - Friday, May 11th. The finals for both men and women will be played at Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex in Surprise, Arizona. Women's Rowing [Championship Central]
Barry University will host the 2018 Sunshine State Conference Women's Rowing Championship at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota on Friday, April 27th. This year marks the sixth consecutive SSC Rowing championship at Nathan Benderson Park. The venue was home to the 2014 World Cup Final and 2015 World Cup Final of the Modern Pentathlon. Prior to Nathan Benderson Park, the SSC championship was held at Canal 54 in Fellsmere (2008-2011).
NCAA Postseason: All divisions will converge on Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota for the 2018 NCAA championships. Dates for the NCAA Regatta are Friday, May 25th - Sunday, May 27th. All championship competitors will be announced by the NCAA on Monday, May 14th, here.
Lacrosse [Championship Central: Men | Women]
Men's & Women's SSC Lacrosse Championships will be hosted by the highest seed in each tournament*. Women's semifinals will take place Friday, April 27th, while the men may play on Thursday, April 26th or Friday, April 27th. Both championship final games will be held Sunday, April 29th.
NCAA Postseason: NCAA Division II postseason for women's lacrosse begins on Saturday, May 12th at non-predetermined sites and concludes Sunday, May 20th at Naimoli Family Athletic and Intramural Complex on the campus of the University of Tampa. The NCAA Division II postseason for men's lacrosse will start at non-predetermined sites Friday, May 11th and concludes Sunday, May 27th in Boston, Massachusetts. The 2018 Sunshine State Conference baseball regular season champion will have an automatic qualifier to the NCAA regional.
NCAA Postseason: NCAA Division II Baseball Regionals begin on Thursday, May 17th at non-predetermined sites. Cary, North Carolina re-emerges as the finals host for 2018. Softball
The 2018 Sunshine State Conference softball regular season champion will have an automatic qualifier to the NCAA regional.
NCAA Postseason: NCAA Division II Softball Regionals and Super Regionals will be held at non-predetermined sites Thursday, May 10th - Friday, May 18th. Finals will be held Thursday, May 24th - Monday, May 28th at the Moyer Sports Complex in Salem, Virginia. The Mountain East Conference and City of Salem will serve as co-hosts of the event.
