Since its inception, the Sunshine State Conference Hall of Fame has honored individuals for their exceptional contributions to the league. From the inaugural class of 21 inductees, the Hall will grow to 233 members on October 4, 2025, when Barry University hosts the induction of the SSC's 25th class - a milestone celebration that fittingly coincides with the conference's 50th anniversary season.

Baseball has produced more honorees than any other sport, with 44 inductees overall, including this year's selections, Evers and Meyer. Meyer, who also served as Florida Southern's athletic director for 11 years, becomes only the fourth administrator/baseball coach inducted into the Hall, joining Joe Justice (Rollins), Norm Kaye (Saint Leo), and Ken Stibler (St. Thomas), who were all inducted in the 1996-97 academic year.
In total, 29 members have been recognized for their administrative leadership. That number includes six of this year's inductees: Jurgens, Malfitano, Reidy, Stone, Vaughn, and Meyer.
Reidy, who coached for Saint Leo before embarking on a stellar career in administration, raises the number of men's soccer hall of famers to 28 overall. Softball follows with 22 inductees, highlighted by Sherry Howell (Class of 1999), who competed in both softball and volleyball at Eckerd.
Men's basketball boasts 21 inductees, women's basketball has 15, women's soccer counts 14, including Quinones from the Class of 2025, and volleyball has 13 enshrined.
With Stapff's selection, men's golf now has 13 honorees, while Buckley's induction raises the total for women's tennis to 11. That group includes Dr. George Samuel (Barry), who entered the Hall for coaching both the men's and women's programs.
The Hall of Fame still features seven men's tennis inductees, seven women's golf inductees, four women's cross country inductees, and three men's cross country inductees. Notably, A.L. "Buck" Dawson (Florida Southern) and Jarrett Slaven (Tampa) were enshrined for coaching both men's and women's cross country. Jurgens becomes the second individual highlighted for women's rowing.
The SSC Hall of Fame is a testament to the league's past and a celebration of the individuals who have built its legacy. As the SSC marks its 50th anniversary in 2025-26, the induction of the 25th Hall of Fame class will be a special moment to honor these legends and look back on five decades of championship memories, tradition, and pride.
