Men's Round 2 Recap
AJ Ewart of Barry, the No. 9 ranked GolfStat player in Division II, maintained the lead in round two, after shooting 67 (-4). His two-day score is 134 (-8). His teammated Felipe Alvarez shot 68 (-4) to finish the round tied for second place with Nova Southeastern University's Michael Hay, and Lynn University's Jose Ramirez. Last year's champion, Nicolas Quintero of Barry and Saint Leo University's Jake Nash, round out the top 5.
Joseba Torres of Nova Southeastern shot a 65 (-6) to post the lowest round of the tournament so far.
Individual Full Leaderboard - Day 2
Barry followed yesterday's 275 (-9) with a 275 (-9) to create a six-stroke lead over second place Saint Leo. The Lions shot 3-under today after finishing the first round with a 275 (-9). Nova Southeastern had the best day of any team. As a group, they shot 272 (-12) to tie 2019's Lynn team for the fifth-best round in championship history. Lynn is in sole possession of fourth place at 4-under, while Florida Southern College sits in fifth at 2-over.

- Normandy Shores becomes the 15th host course since 1991
- This will be the third tournament since 1991 to play at Par 71, joining Grand Oaks (2010, 2018)
- Barry has the chance to repeat as SSC champions, which would be the first instance since Lynn went back-to-back in 2015 and 2016. The Buccaneers also look to have back-to-back individual champions (Nicolas Quintero). They would be the first school since Nova Southeastern's back-to-back winners in 2012-13 (Ben Taylor & Ricardo Celia)
- The individual record for a three-round tournament is 12-under, achieved by Kyle Brey, Barry (2017 - Duran), and Steve Paramore, Florida Southern (2003 - Rio Pinar)
- The individual record for a single round is 8-under by Barry's AJ Ewart (2022 - Grasslands). Four golfers have reached the 7-under, most recently by Agustin Errazuriz of Lynn (2019 - Lake Jovita)
- The Team record for a three-round tournament is 20-under, achieved by Barry in 2019 (Lake Jovita) and 2022 (Grasslands)
- The Team record for a single round is 18-under, achieved by Barry in 2022 at Grasslands. Florida Tech's 16-under, in 2018 at Grande Oaks, is second best.
- Quintero looks to become the 25th men's golfer to record three Top-5 finishes at the SSC championship. Four others hope to join a list of 83 athletes that have two Top-5 finishes in the SSC Championship: AJ Ewart (Barry), Santiago Chamorro (Barry), Jake Nash (Saint Leo), Aadam Syed (Tampa).
