SSC Men’s Swimming All-Conference Awards for 2022-23
MELBOURNE, Fla. - Eighteen student-athletes have been selected to the 2022-23 All-SSC Men's Swimming Teams. Voting for the awards was conducted among the Sunshine State Conference men's swimming coaches.
The University of Tampa, the 2023 SSC men's champion, is represented by seven honorees, including three First Team award winners. Lynn University, Nova Southeastern University, and Saint Leo University are also represented in the 2022-23 league awards.
SSC Records / Top Times | All-SSC Teams
Matteo Zampese of Florida Southern and Jarryd Baxter of NSU highlight the repeat All-SSC award winners. The seniors both repeat as First Team All-SSC honorees from 2021-22. Lynn's Mohamed Masmoudi makes it three straight All-SSC honors and moves up to the First Team this season, following back-to-back Second Team honors in 2019-20 and 2021-22. Additionally, Masmoudi was named SSC Freshman of the Year in 2019-20. A total of nine men's swimmers repeat as All-SSC in 2022-23.
Tampa's Santiago Corrredor, a First Team award winner this season, was recently named the top male athlete at the 2023 SSC Championship. He is the second Spartan to win the conference's Swimmer of the Meet honor, first since 2019-20.
Coach of the Year, Swimmer of the Year, and Freshman of the Year will be voted on by league coaches following the NCAA Division II championship March 8th - Saturday, March 11th, at the IU Natatorium on the campus of IUPUI in Indianapolis, Indiana.
