LARGO, Fla. – [CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL] - Lynn University claims its fifth SSC men's Golf Championship, while its own Agustin Errazuriz claims the individual championship. The 2021 event was played at the Bayou Country Club and was hosted by Eckerd College.

Men's Final Round Recap

Errazuriz brings the Fighting Knights program its third individual SSC championship after defeating the 50-man field by two strokes. The junior from Santiago, Chile sandwiched an even-par round between a pair of 2-under's to finish at 4-under (212) for the tournament. Over his three rounds, Errazuriz recorded just five bogies on the Par 72, 7009-yard course.

Aadam Syed from the University of Tampa finished in second place with an overall score of 2-under. Syed is the first Spartan to finish Top-5 at the championship since 1999 and the program's first Top-10 golfer since 2015. Tomas Gana of Lynn and Javier Calles of Nova Southeastern finished up in a third-place tie at 1-under. Barry University's Santiago Chamarro and Nicolas Quintero tied for fifth place at even par.

Nova Southeastern finished second in the team competition at 15-over. It stands as the Sharks' best finish since a second-place finish in 2015. Three Top-15 competitors powered NSU on the final day as they delivered the only under-par team round of the tournament (1-under, 287). Saint Leo University takes third-place with an 18-over final score. It was a total group effort for SLU, as only one Lion landed in the Top-10. The third-place finish is tops for the Lions program since registering a second-place finish in 2017.
