How They Got There:
Top-seeded Florida Southern defeated No. 8 Barry University, 89-71, in Lakeland during the quarterfinal round. SSC Player of the Year Camille Giardina led the game with 30 points, while First Team All-SSC Anja Fuchs-Robetin chipped in with 25 points and nine rebounds (
Box). The Moccasins then defeated No. 4 Nova Southeastern, 80-77, in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday afternoon. Fuchs-Robetin led all scorers with 25 points while bringing down 14 rebounds (

No. 3 Eckerd defeated No. 6 Lynn University, 76-55, in St. Petersburg in the quarterfinals. First Team All-SSC Chelsea Johnson scored a game-high 20 points, on 8-10 shooting from the field (
Box). The Tritons then dispatched No. 7 Rollins College, 67-55, at NSU on Saturday afternoon. Mikayla Kuehne led all scorers with 16 points, while Newcomer Team member Octavia Loll provided EC with a little of everything (four rebounds, three points, three assists, two blocks, and an assist) (

Matchup:
Florida Southern took the season series over Eckerd, winning 60-56 in Lakeland on January 16th and 69-56 in St. Petersburg on February 20th. The Tritons last regular-season win over FSC came on November 29th, 2017 in St. Petersburg (77-69). Saturday's tournament final will be the first conference finals meeting and eighth overall tournament matchup between the two charter members. EC’s only tournament win over FSC came during the 2015 quarterfinals.
