Founded in 1975, Sunshine State Conference member institutions have won a total of 138 NCAA national championships across 15 sports and boast an NCAA Division II leading 89% Academic Success Rate. In 2025-26, the SSC marks its 50th anniversary, reflecting on a proud history of athletic and academic excellence.
SAINT LEO, Fla. — For the second year in a row, the Florida Southern Mocs are the Sunshine State Conference (SSC) champions. The Mocs claimed its second straight SSC Men’s Golf championship on Tuesday at Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club. Florida Southern won the 10-team field by a staggering 22 strokes and was the only team to shoot under for the entire tournament.
The Mocs were led by the individual winner in Colton Swartz with an -8 followed by the tournament’s runner-up in Max Barile. Florida Southern also featured Anthony Monteleone at an even score, for sixth-place. Lynn placed second as a team with Simon Roessler leading the Fighting Knights with a -4. Additionally, the Fighting Knights boasted another top-10 finish in Andres Asin with a +1.
Both Barry and Rollins tied for third with a +15 while the host, Saint Leo, finished fifth. Nova Southeastern and Palm Beach Atlantic tied for sixth. Tampa placed eighth and rounding out the field was Eckerd at ninth and Embry-Riddle in 10th.
