Florida Southern Leads After Rounds 1 and 2.

Founded in 1975, Sunshine State Conference member institutions have won a total of 138 NCAA national championships across 15 sports and boast an NCAA Division II leading 89% Academic Success Rate. In 2025-26, the SSC marks its 50th anniversary, reflecting on a proud history of athletic and academic excellence.
 

SAINT LEO, Fla. — The 2026 Sunshine State Conference Men's Golf Championship, hosted by Saint Leo University, began Monday at the Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club, which featured a shotgun start with the first two rounds being completed.

Third-ranked Florida Southern holds the team lead after 36 holes, paced by Colton Swarts. Swartz was the only golfer to finish under par in both rounds on Monday. carding eight birdies and one eagle. The Mocs also boast two more golfers inside the top-10 as  Max Barile is in fifth with 143 (-1) and Anthony Monteleone sits in a share of sixth with a 144 (even).

In second-place is Barry and Tampa, who are 11 strokes back after Monday. The Bucs placed two golfers inside the top-10, led by Anthony Amoroso III with a 142 (-2) and Eduardo Matarazzo. The Spartans have a pair in the top-10 with Linus Landahl tied for sixth and Kyle Honer tied for ninth. Lynn, who is fourth, are led by Simon Roessler and Andres. Nova Southeastern is seven strokes back in fifth followed by Saint Leo in sixth, two strokes back. Rollins is seventh while the field is rounded out by Palm Beach Atlantic in eighth, Embry-Riddle in ninth, and Eckerd in 10th.

The final round is scheduled to begin Tuesday at 8 a.m.
