Tampa Advances to NCAA Division II Men’s Lacrosse National Championship

TAMPA, Fla. — The University of Tampa men's lacrosse team is headed to the NCAA Division II National Championship after defeating Maryville 12-8, ending the Saints' historic postseason run. This marks the Spartans' second appearance in the title game in program history. UTampa won it all 2022.

Led by a hat trick from Jackson Bashaw and a stellar 12-save performance by goalie Connor Theriault, Tampa took control early and never looked back. Eight different Spartans recorded points in a dominant team effort.

Tampa will face Adelphi for the national title on Sunday, May 25 at 4 p.m. at Gillette Stadium in Boston.
