2025 SSC Men’s Golf All-Conference Awards

MELBOURNE, Fla. - Sixteen student-athletes have been named All-Sunshine State Conference following the 2024-25 men's golf season. Florida Southern's Colton Swartz and Brian Richey receive Golfer and Coach of the Year honors, while Nova Southeastern's Bruno Marques is named Freshman of the Year. Voting for the All-SSC men's golf awards was conducted among the league's golf coaches.

Swartz, a sophomore from Fleming Island, Florida, captures Golfer of the Year recognition following two wins this season. Clippd's Scoreboard ranks Swartz as the top golfer in the region and ninth nationally. Through seven tournaments and 20 rounds, Swartz has a 70.4 adjusted scoring average in 2024-25 with three Top-5 finishes and a 439-111-14 comparative record. Swartz is the ninth Moccasin to win the award and the first since 20181

Marques, a native of Palma de Mallorca, Spain, recorded a 71.6 scoring average across 26 rounds on his way to Freshman of the Year laurels. He participated in nine events for Nova Southeastern in 2024-25, finishing Top-15 four times, including sixth at the Matlock Classic, the Bobcat Invitational, and the Milton Makeup. Marques is the seventh golfer in Shark program history to win Freshman of the Year2 and the first since 2022.  

Richey is tabbed SSC Coach of the Year by his peers after leading Florida Southern to an SSC championship. The Moccasins led the 2025 conference tournament from start to finish, defeating runner-up Barry University by 13 strokes. FSC finished in the Top-10 of every event they participated in this season, and closed out the year with five consecutive Top-5 finishes. Richey's squad currently holds the No. 10 ranking from both the Golf Coaches Association of America and Clippd. He is the third FSC skipper to earn Coach of the Year honors in men's golf and the first since 20103.
