ORLANDO, Fla. - [CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL] - After three rounds of play, Nova Southeastern has won the 2025 Sunshine State Conference Women's Golf Championship. It is the Sharks' seventh SSC title and their first since 2018. Alisha Rametra became the sixth Rollins golfer to the individual title and the first since 2009. Tampa along with GO Sports and Discover Lake County hosted the 2025 SSC Championship at Mission Resort's Las Colinas course (Par 71, 5,942 yds) in Howey-in-the-Hills from April 13 to 15.
With a three-round score of 16-over (868), Nova Southeastern won the event by 14 strokes. The score was the second-best ever recorded during the SSC Tournament. The Sharks led the tournament wire-to-wire. They posted a 291(+7) in the first round, then shot a 288 (+4) in the second, and finally a 289 (+5) to capture the trophy. Lynn edged Rollins, 882 to 883, for second place in the 2025 event. Rollins' day three, 287 (+3), was the low team round of the tournament and tied for the 10th lowest in SSC tournament history.
Individually, Rametra bested the 50-woman field and became the sixth Tar to win the individual title. She's the first Rollins player to win since Joanna Coe in 2009 (Lake Region). Rametra, a freshman from Frisco, Texas, finished even par, 213 following rounds of 76-71-66. Rametra registered 10 total birdies, tied for the second-most at the event, and she finished first in Par 4 scoring (4.03). Her even-par tournament finish is tied for 11th best in SSC tournament history. Additionally, Rametra's final day, 66 (-5), jumped her nine places in the standings and was the tournament's low round. The score is also tied for the second-lowest in tournament history. Nova Southeastern's Ariana Carvalho and Lynn's Amelia Ruiz tied for second place at 215 (+2). Both players were 2-under on Par 3's this week. Ruiz was third in Par 4 scoring, while Carvalho was second in Par 5 play.
