FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - [Bracket] - Four teams will represent the Sunshine State Conference in the 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Tournament. The Nova Southeastern Sharks, the Sunshine State Conference regular-season and tournament champions, will host the event. The SSC claimed three at-large bids with Florida Southern College, Lynn University, and the University of Tampa getting into the tournament. The NCAA announced the bracket on Sunday, March 9.
Nova Southeastern (30-1, 19-1) earns the No. 1 seed after winning their fourth consecutive Sunshine State Conference Tournament. This is the fourth consecutive year that the Sharks will host the South Regional. The Sharks won the national title in 2023, then finished as runners-up in 2024. This season, they're led by SSC Player of the Year MJ Iraldi and All-SSC First Team selection Dallas Graziani. The Sharks will face No. 8 Savannah State (18-11) on Saturday, March 15 at 5:00 PM.
Florida Southern (25-8, 14-6) earns the No. 3 seed after finishing second in the SSC in the regular season. The Mocs are led by two-time SSC Defensive Player of the Year Alex Steen and fellow First Team All-SSC selection Jadin Booth. Their first round game will be against No. 6 Montevallo (20-10) on Saturday, March 15 at 12 PM.
Lynn (20-8, 14-6) earns the No. 5 seed after finishing third in the SSC in the regular season. They are led by All-SSC First Team selection Leo Beath and All-SSC Second Team selection Carson Smith. They will face No. 4 Valdosta State (25-6) on Saturday, March 15 at 7:30 PM.
Tampa (20-10, 11-8) earns the No. 7 seed after finishing fourth in the SSC in the regular season. The Spartans are led by All-SSC Second Team selection Tyson Leitao and All-SSC Third Team selection Bryan Williams. They will face No. 2 Alabama-Huntsville (30-1) on Saturday, March 15 at 2:30 PM.
The South Region tournament begins on Saturday, March 15. Semifinal games will be played on Sunday, March 16, and the championship game will be played on Tuesday, March 18. All games will be played at the Rick Case Arena at Nova Southeastern University. The winner of the South Region tournament will advance to the Elite Eight later this month. The national championship game will be played on Saturday, March 29 at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana.
