ORLANDO, Fla. - The Sunshine State Conference recognizes thirty-four women's soccer student-athletes as All-Conference for the 2025 season. Nova Southeastern, the SSC Regular Season Champion, boasts 11 award winners, including Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, and Coach of the Year. Voting for the awards is conducted among the league's women's soccer coaches.
Sofia Suarez, a senior midfielder from Nova Southeastern, is honored as Offensive Player of the Year by league coaches. The Miami Lakes, Florida native led the league in goals (12), goals per game (.71), and game-winning goals (4). She was second in points (29) and points per game (1.71). In SSC play, she found the back of the net eight times in 10 games, scoring three game-winners and providing her team with two assists. Suarez is the third Shark to win SSC Offensive Player of the Year

NSU's Kajsa Lang is crowned Defensive Player of the Year by league coaches. The graduate student from Kalmar, Sweden, played over 1450 minutes for a Sharks defense that registered nine shutouts and held opponents to SSC-leading numbers in goals allowed (4) and goals allowed per game (0.4) during conference play. Lang is the third Shark to win SSC Defensive Player of the Year and the first since 2017

Carly Brodsky becomes Florida Southern's first Goalkeeper of the Year award winner. The junior from Parkland, Florida, recorded 11 shutouts, including seven against conference opponents across her 17 games in net. Brodsky led the SSC in goals against average (.413), save percentage (.863), shutouts, shutouts per game (.647), and total goals allowed (7) during her 1524 minutes in net.
Forwards Alayna Townsend from Rollins and Oliwia Loeman of NSU share 2025 Freshman of the Year honors. Townsend, a Cincinnati, Ohio, product, started 12 games and played 846 minutes for the Tars this season, scoring six goals and adding an assist. She's the third Rollins athlete to be named Freshman of the Year in women's soccer and the first since 2015
3. Loeman, a native of Rijkevorsel, Poland, appeared in 14 games for the Sharks and tallied six goals and two assists in 500 minutes on the pitch. She's the second consecutive NSU player to win the award, fifth overall

Amy Vaughan earns Coach of the Year honors from her peers after leading the undefeated Nova Southeastern program to a third SSC regular-season title and its first since 2017. The Sharks led SSC in numerous statistical categories during conference play, including goals for (28), goals against (4), and scoring margin (2.40). NSU has spent the last seven weeks as Top-15 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll this season, topping out at No. 10. Vaughan is the third Shark skipper to be named SSC Coach of the Year

Suarez and Florida Tech's Sara Batchadji highlight the repeat All-Conference selections for 2025. Both athletes earn a third consecutive ALL-SSC honor and repeat as First Team honorees from 2024. Lauryn Wood from Florida Tech and Lauryn Mateo from Embry-Riddle both move up to the First Team after Second Team nods in 2024; both athletes were also named All-Conference in 2023. ERAU's Thea Nyberg is the fifth and final athlete to earn a third consecutive All-SSC honor in 2025, after repeating as a Second Team honoree. She was previously named First Team and Defensive Player of the Year in 2023. Overall, 13 athletes repeat as All-SSC during their careers.
