Navren of Embry-Riddle Repeats as SSC Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award Presented by S3 Design
MELBOURNE, Fla. – Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Isabelle Navren wins the 2023-24 Sunshine State Conference Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors presented by S3 Design. The Eagle soccer student-athlete followed a 4.0 GPA in Accounting & Finance with a perfect GPA in her MBA program.
The Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year award is voted on by Athletic Directors, Senior Woman Administrators, Athletic Communication Directors, and Faculty Athletic Representatives from each of the 11 SSC member institutions.
Navren, a native of Stockholm, Sweden, was awarded the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-American Team Member of the Year honor. The midfielder was also tabbed a First Team Academic All-American, following a Third Team honor in 2022. Navren also collected CSC Academic All-District awards in 2022 & 2023. She has been named to the SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll five times, earned the Embry-Riddle Eagles of Excellence Scholarship, and has made the Dean's List every semester.
This season, Navren was named First Team All-South Region by United Soccer Coaches, First Team All-South Region by D2CCA, First Team All-SSC, and tabbed an SSC All-Tournament Team member. She has earned five All-Region honors, three All-SSC selections, and two SSC All-Tournament team nods in her career.
She plays a meaningful role on Embry-Riddle's campus beyond the classroom and the soccer field as a member of the Riddle Support Network, which supports students with financial, academic, and housing challenges. Additionally, she has volunteered with campus clean-up and the Blue and Gold Gala.
Navren has volunteered at the Tomoka Marathon, the Color Me Kate 5k Fundraiser for cancer, the Me Strong 5k, the Gatorade volleyball tournament, the Daytona 500, the Thanksgiving Basket Brigade, and as a youth soccer coach.
She remains the first Eagle and soccer player to be honored as SSC Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year since conference administrators established the award in 1995-96. She is the fifth student-athlete to win the Female Athlete of the Year two or more times
