Seven SSC Swimmers Honored by CSC as Academic All-Americans
Florida Southern's Kyle Micallef was named Team Member of the Year

AUSTIN, Texas – Seven SSC student-athletes were named to the 2023-24 NCAA Division II Academic All-America men's swimming & diving teams as announced by the College Sports Communicators. Florida Southern College's Kyle Micallef was named Team Member of the Year. He follows in the footsteps of former teammate Matteo Zampese who was named Team Member of the Year last year. He was one of four Mocs honored. Nova Southeastern University had three swimmers honored.
Micallef earned First Team honors and was named the Team Member of the Year. Micallef, a senior sprinter majoring in accounting, carries a 3.92 GPA. The Australian native has previously been awarded the CSC Academic All-District, CSCAA Scholar All-America First Team, the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award, and the SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Joining Micallef on the First Team is Nova Southeastern's Luca Alessandrini. The junior Sports and Management Recreation major carries a 3.86 GPA.
Three SSC athletes were named to the Second Team. They were Florida Southern teammates Ludwig Mueller and Brandon Wilson and Nova Southeastern's Marcel Snitko. This is Mueller's second CSC Academic All-America Team. He is majoring in Computer Science: AI & Machine Learning and carries a 3.88 GPA. Wilson is a junior majoring in Computer Science and he carries a 3.70 GPA. Snitko is a graduate student with a 3.62 GPA in Data Analytics.
The final SSC swimmers honored are Florida Southern's Cameron Lai-Harris and Nova Southeastern's Gustav Henriksen. Both were named to the Third Team. Lai-Harris is a senior pursuing a degree in Computer Science and carries a 3.59 GPA. Henriksen is a sophomore majoring in Management. He carries a 3.96 GPA.
