Men's Individual Round 1 Recap
Barry's Albin Ekvall (No. 130 nationally) and Mikka Makinen (No. 111) share the tournament lead at 7-under (65). Both athletes are vying to become the third straight Buccaneer to win the conference tournament. Mike Hay (No. 21) of Nova Southeastern sits in solo third at 6-under. He is on pace to become the 26th SSC athlete to record three SSC Top-10 finishes, following a tie for third place in 2023 and a tie for sixth in 2022. Hay is playing to become the first Shark to win the title since 2018.
Brendan Porter (No. 418) from Saint Leo went 5-under and holds on to solo fourth place. Eckerd's Josh DiZinnio (No. 302), Embry-Riddle's Edoardo Scialanga (No. 488), and Rollins' Clarence Champman (NR) are tied for fifth place at 4-under. Saint Leo and Embry-Riddle have never had an individual conference title winner. Eckerd's only win came in 2006, while Rollins' last win was in 2005.

Thanks to Ekvall and Makinen at the top of the leaderboard, Barry holds the No. 1 spot in the team competition. The Buccaneers finished round one at 13-under (275). Rollins is second at 12-under (276), with four players in the Top 12. Palm Beach Atlantic and Lynn are tied for third place (6-under, 282), while Nova Southeastern sits just one stroke back in fifth (5-under, 283).
Barry is gunning for a third consecutive title and the fourth in five seasons. Rollins looks to hoist the trophy for the first time since 2003. PBA's eying its best finish in program history, never finishing about sixth place at the SSC championship. Lynn's last tournament win came in 2016, while NSU last took the trophy in 2012.
