2024 Women’s Cross Country All-SSC Awards 10.29.24 MELBOURNE, Fla. – Fourteen student-athletes are named to SSC Women's Cross Country All-Conference Teams following the 2024 conference championship. After capturing its first league title, Nova Southeastern grasps seven All-SSC honors, including Runner of the Year and Coach of the Year. League coaches voted for Runner, Freshman, and Coach of the Year awards, while runners who finish Top-14 at the 2024 SSC Women's Cross Country Championship earn All-SSC status. Nova Southeastern hosted this year's championship at Holloway Park on October 25th. SSC Championship / All-SSC History | Runners / Coaches of the Year | All-SSC Teams On October 24th, conference coaches selected Jillian Thorning from Nova Southeastern as Runner of the Year and Hannah Diete of Tampa as Freshman of the conference coaches. For more information on these awards, visit the following link. NSU's Jonathan Carter is voted Coach of the Year by his peers after delivering the first SSC title in program history. The Sharks won the conference championship with a 23-point lead over the field after runners finished 1-2-4-10-14 to earn 31 points. Overall, the Sharks finished Top-5 this season in all six races they entered. Carter is the first NSU head coach to win the honor. Florida Southern's Ellie Fluman highlights the repeat All-SSC honorees with her fourth straight All-Conference honor. The graduate student reaches the First Team in 2024 after earning three consecutive Second Team honors from 2021 to 2023. NSU's Leena Saidi and Eden Toal repeat as First Team honorees from 2023, with Toal also earning a Second Team nod in 2022. Emma Mussante from Florida Southern was tabbed Runner of the Year in 2023 and Second Team in 2022. Ally Jakubiak from NSU rounds out the repeat All-SSC winners following a First Team honor last season.
