AJ Ewart of Barry repeats as Golfer of the Year, Florida Southern's Tyler Mistretta is named Freshman of the Year, and Barry's Carlos Velez is honored as Coach of the Year. Voting for the All-SSC men's golf awards was conducted among the league's men's golf coaches.

SSC Men's Golf All-Conference History: All-SSC Teams | Golfers & Coaches of the Year

Ewart, a senior from Coquitlam, British Columbia, wins his second consecutive Golfer of the Year honor following four first-place finishes, including the SSC championship in 2022-23. Through 10 tournaments and 29 rounds this year, Ewart has recorded an SSC-leading 70.07 scoring average and seven Top-5 finishes. He remains the fourth Barry athlete to win SSC Men's Golfer of the Year1 and becomes the fifth SSC golfer to win back-to-back awards2. The Sunshine State Conference Golfer of the Year award is presented by College Ave Student Loans.

Mistretta, a product of North Palm Beach, Florida, logged a 73.28 scoring average across 29 rounds on his way to Freshman of the Year accolades. He participated in 10 events for Florida Southern in 2022-23, finishing Top-15 five times. Mistretta is the seventh in Moccasins program history to win Freshman of the Year3.

Velez is awarded SSC Coach of the Year in his first year with the Barry Buccaneers. With his guidance, the 2022-23 Buccaneers won five tournaments, including the program's sixth conference championship. Barry has also earned the No. 2 ranking from the Golf Coaches Association of America and GolfStat. Velez is the second Barry skipper to earn Coach of the Year honors in men's golf4.

Ewart highlights the repeat All-SSC honorees with back-to-back-to-back First Team All-SSC honors. His teammate Felipe Alvarez and NSU's Mike Hay each collect a second straight First Team nod. Barry's Nicolas Quintero finds the First Team after winning Second Team accolades in 2022. NSU's Josep Serra and PBA's Andrew Riley repeat Second Team honorees from 2022. Serra was also tabbed as Freshman of the Year in 2022. FSC's Adam Alvarez returns to the Second Team following his first All-SSC honors in 2019.
