Four SSC Teams to Play in NCAA Men's Tennis Tournament
Saint Leo University will host one of the two regions as the No. 2 seed

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - [Bracket] - Four SSC schools have qualified for the 2023 NCAA Division II Men's Tennis Championship. Saint Leo University earns the No. 2 seed, and will be one of the two region hosts. The other teams that qualified are Barry University, Rollins College, and Lynn University.
Saint Leo (22-2, 7-0) won the SSC regular season title, then finished as the runner-up in the conference tournament. They were rewarded with the No. 2 seed in the region, and they will play host to a bracket that features three SSC teams. They have never won a men's tennis title, but they did finish as they runner-up in 2016.
The Lions' first opponent will be Lynn (12-8, 4-3) who earned the No. 7 seed. The Fighting Knights are looking for their first national championship since 2007. When Saint Leo and Lynn met on April 7th of this season, the Lions won 6-1 in Saint Leo. Their match will be played on Aprul 28th at 10 AM.
Barry (19-5, 6-1) is the third team in South Region #2. The Buccaneers earned the No. 3 seed after defeating Saint Leo 4-3 in the SSC tournament title match. The Bucs are looking to win their fourth NCAA title in a row and their seventh overall. They will play No. 6 Auburn-Montgomery (16-8) at Saint Leo on April 28th at 2 PM.
Rollins (17-6, 5-2) earns the No. 5 seed, as they begint heir quest for their first NCAA title since 2001. The Tars will face No. 4 West Florida (15-4) on April 28th at 3 PM. They will be playing their matches in Valdota, Ga., the home of the top-seeded team in the South, Valdosta State.
The South Region is host to eight of the 48 teams that qualified for the 2023 NCAA Division II Men's Tennis Championship. There will be 16 sites in the preliminary-rounds, including the two in the South Region. The winners from all 16 regions will advance to the finals, which will take place from May 11-15 in Orlando, Florida. The finals are being hosted by Rollins College and the Greater Orlando Sports Commission.
