More information on the Championship and SSC Rowing...
This year marks the tenth consecutive rowing championship at Nathan Benderson Park for the SSC. The venue was home to the 2014 World Cup Final and 2015 World Cup Final of the Modern Pentathlon. Prior to Nathan Benderson Park, the SSC championship was held at Canal 54 in Fellsmere (2008-2011).
Currently, the SSC holds all three NCAA Division II South Region rankings in the Team, Varsity 8, and Varsity 4 categories.
Barry accounts for two of the SSC's three National Championships in women's rowing, having won back-to-back titles in 2015 and 2016. Nova Southeastern captured the league's first national title in 2013, where Barry was the National Runner-Up. Nova Southeastern was runner up in 2014 and Barry also came in second in 2006. Most recently, Florida Tech finished as national runner-up at the 2019 championship.
There will be an awards ceremony following at 10:00 AM to recognize the All-SSC Team, the Varsity 4 and Varsity 8 winners and the 2023 SSC Champions.
