Two overall SSC and three meet records fall on Day 3

CLEARWATER, Fla. – The fourth day of the 2022 Sunshine State Conference Swimming Championships concluded with Nova Southeastern maintaining its lead on the top of the standings for both men and women. The Sharks turned in six first-place finishes throughout the night. Overall, three Conference Records and one meet record was set.

Top Performances:

Rollins had the first individual champion of day four as Beatriz Olivieri championed the 500 Free in 4:53.95. She was followed by a pair of Tampa swimmers, Megan Goldthorpe and Holly Wessel. Cassie Wright won the 100 Back with a meet record time of 52.98, finishing ahead of teammate Celina Marquez. Nova Southeastern's Savannah Best set a conference record while winning the 100 Breat in 1:00.75, finishing ahead of UT's Elizaveta Bazarova and Julie Augustsson. Aleksandra Maslova gave the Sharks another conference record as she took the 200 Fly in 1:58.23. Nova Southeastern closed the day for the women with a first-place finish in the 200 Free Relay at 1:32.68.

Luca Allessandrini established the first conference record of the night, doing so with a 4:20.46 showing in the 500 Free. Brandon Dyck won the 100 Back as the Florida Southern backstroker was clocked at 46.85. Florida Southern took the top three spots in the 100 Breat, headlined by a 53.38 championship time from Ludovico Viberti. He was trailed by Matteo Zampese and Ludwig Mueller. Miguel Bernotti took the second consecutive men's race for the Mocs, claiming gold in the 200 Fly with a 1:46.89. The Sharks edged second-place Tampa in the 200 Free Relay, with Nova Southeastern notching a winning time of 1:19.48.
