MELBOURNE, Fla.- Florida Southern College will host this season's Small College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic, which will take place Saturday, November 5, and Sunday, November 6, in Lakeland, Florida. The event will feature 10 teams, including Florida Southern and fellow Sunshine State Conference foe Nova Southeastern.

The Sharks and the Moccasins are two of SSC's most decorated men's basketball programs. FSC holds the conference's two national championships, winning the title in 1981 and 2015. Additionally, they have finished as the runner-up once (1982) and made seven Final Four appearances. Meanwhile, the Sharks were ranked No. 1 unanimously in the final NABC Coaches poll of the 2021-22 season, where they finished the regular season with a 28-0 record. They advanced to the Elite Eight for the second time in program history, following a previous run in 2019.
The 2022 Small College Basketball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will precede the classic, beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, November 4. This year's class features two SSC greats, Todd Linder of Tampa and Bo Clark of Central Florida.
Clark played at Central Florida from 1975-80 and was a three-time All-American. He still owns the SSC and UCF career scoring records at 2,886 points. Linder played for the Spartans from 1983-87 and was a three-time All-American. He holds the SSC record for career field goal percentage (70.8%) and is fifth all-time in scoring at 2,259 points. Linder was a fourth-round pick by the Seattle Supersonics in the 1987 NBA Draft.
The Small Basketball Hall of Fame Classic will begin with an 11:00 a.m. matchup between Hillsdale and Dallas Baptist on November 5. For more information about the event, click here.
