Men's Basketball Player of the Week

Bonner takes Player of the Week honors with a clutch performance in Rollins’ 86-85 upset win at No. 1 Nova Southeastern University on Saturday. The Winter Springs, Florida native hit a go-ahead bucket with 1:06 to play, and then again with only 2.4 seconds remaining, guiding Rollins to its first victory over the nation’s No. 1 team since January 16, 1988 (77-75 OT vs. Tampa). Bonner tallied a team-high 20 points against the previously undefeated Sharks by shooting 90% from the field (9-10) and 100% from the free-throw line (2-2). In his 33 minutes on the court, the senior also provided the Tars with five rebounds and three assists.
Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
Luka Majstorovic / Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University / Sr. / Center / Belgrade, Serbia
Majstorovic grabs Defensive Player of the Week for the second team this season following ERAU’s 106-80 win against Palm Beach Atlantic University. The Serbian tallied seven blocks, four defensive rebounds, and a steal against the Sailfish. He also provided the Eagles with 13 points, eight rebounds, and an assist in the win. Majstorovic’s 38 blocks rank first in NCAA Division II.
Women's Basketball Player of the Week
LaShayla Wright-Ponder / University of Tampa / Jr. / Forward / Bloomington, Minnesota
Wright-Ponder is awarded Player of the Week for her performance in UT’s 72-66 overtime victory at Saint Leo University. The Bloomington, Minnesota product scored a game-high 32 points by connecting on 76% of her shots from the field (13-17) and 75% from the line (6-8). Wright-Ponder also tallied eight rebounds and a steal during her 39 minutes on the court. The junior's 32 points against the Lions ranks first among single-game performances in conference play this season.
Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
Zoe Richards / Eckerd College / Sr. / Center / Dunedin, New Zealand
Richards earns Defensive Player of the Week accolades for the third time in her career following her efforts in an 82-60 win against Flagler College. The Dunedin, New Zealand native, tallied three steals, two blocks, and eight defensive rebounds in the victory. Richards recorded a 10-point / 13-rebound double-double in the contest, while also providing her team with three assists. With the play of Richards, Eckerd held Flagler to 10.0 points below its season scoring average.
