Ten SSC Volleyball Athletes Earn 2016 AVCA All-American Honors

Most honors for SSC since 2010

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) selected 10 Sunshine State Conference athletes as All-Americans. Seven SSC member institutions are represented on the 2016 AVCA All-American teams.

University of Tampa's Allee Stelogeannis was named AVCA Division II First Team All-America. Stelogeannis was the SSC Player of the Year and was named AVCA and D2CCA First Team All-Region.

Florida Southern Colleges's Anna Tovo earns AVCA Division II Third Team All-America honors. Tovo was a 2015 AVCA Honorable Mention selection.

Jaeda Allen (Barry University), JaQuayla Baker (Eckerd College), Bri Civiero (Rollins College), Brindl Langley (Florida Southern), Hope Lemon, Jamee Townsend (Saint Leo Univeresity), Marissa Tandron, and Lydia West (Lynn University) have been recognized as AVCA Honorable Mention.

Ten SSC athletes receiving AVCA All-American honors is the most since the league won the same amount in 2010. Seven is the largest number of SSC insitutions to receive AVCA All-America awards in a single year.

Sarah Ragland (First Team), Ally Rohn (Third Team), and Molly Burkhardt (Honorable Mention) represent Palm Beach Atlantic, a SSC provisional member, on the AVAC All-American teams.
