Three student-athletes earned honorable mention.  Florida Tech’s Nick Robinson, Lynn’s Kyle Conrad, and Nova Southeastern’s Craig Heenighan claimed that recognition.

A senior, Koettig helped lead the Barry to an SSC co-championship.  He tied for fifth in the SSC with 26 points.  His nine goals tied for sixth, while his eight assists tied for fourth.  Koettig also tied for second in the league with four game-winning goals.

Biddinger anchored a Rollins defense that was among the most dominant in the conference.  The Tars ranked second in the SSC with 0.88 goals allowed per game and a 0.85 goals against average.  Biddinger and the Rollins defense posted eight shutouts, third best in the conference.

Herrera made a huge impact in his debut season at Saint Leo.  He led the SSC with 11 goals and tied for second with 28 points.  He also tied for eighth with six assists.  Herrera notched three game-winning goals.

McCrath wins Coach of the Year honors after leading his team to a share of the SSC regular-season co-championship.  McCrath’s Buccaneers sport a 10-2-3 overall record and a 6-1-1 conference slate.  The Bucs were particularly formidable on defense, leading the league with 0.60 goals allowed per game and tying for first in the SSC with nine shutouts.  Additionally, Barry ranked second with a 0.57 goals against average.  McCrath’s recognition marks the fourth time he has been named Coach of the Year, with his last award coming in 2002.

Voting for the All-SSC men’s soccer team was conducted among the league’s men’s soccer coaches and sports information directors.
