Carolyn Stone | Palm Beach Atlantic University | Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics | 2012-2019

Stone’s leadership left an enduring mark on Palm Beach Atlantic University. From 2012 to 2019, she guided Sailfish Athletics with vision and distinction, first as Director of Athletics and later as Vice President. Her steady hand was instrumental in securing PBA’s membership in the Sunshine State Conference in 2017.

During her tenure, the Sailfish gained a true home with the opening of the Rinker Athletic Campus in 2014 and the Rinker Sports Center in 2017—facilities that today host soccer, lacrosse, baseball, softball, tennis, and beach volleyball.

Stone oversaw extraordinary growth. PBA expanded from 10 to 18 varsity sports, adding golf, track, lacrosse, beach volleyball, and reinstating cross country. The student-athlete population doubled, from 150 to more than 300 young men and women pursuing excellence in competition and in the classroom.

Under her guidance, Sailfish teams flourished, claiming three NCAA South Region titles, while four student-athletes earned Sunshine State Conference Player of the Year honors. In recognition of her leadership, she was named the 2019 NACDA Under Armour Division II Athletic Director of the Year.

After stepping away from college athletics, Stone continued her service to the community, taking on leadership roles in the Town of Palm Beach, where she currently serves as Deputy Town Manager for Business Enterprise and Culture
