Beverly Buckley | Rollins College | Women's Tennis Coach | 1986-2024

Across 38 years, Bev became one of the most respected figures in Division II tennis. She guided the Tars to multiple Sunshine State Conference championships, and an incredible streak of 20 consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances.

She closed her career in 2024 with 535 victories, ranking seventh all-time in Division II coaching wins. Along the way, she coached two national champions—Stacy Moss in 1994 and Angie Zguna [ZUH-goon-uh] in 2001.

Her teams produced 22 All-Americans, six SSC Players of the Year, two SSC Freshmen of the Year, and 67 All-SSC honorees.

Bev also championed excellence in the classroom. The Tars were named an ITA All-Academic Team every single year from 2013 through 2024, with 62 student-athletes recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes.

Before her legendary coaching career, Bev was a standout Rollins player in the 1970s. She was inducted into the Rollins Hall of Fame in 1993 and later into both the Iowa Tennis Hall of Fame and the Missouri Valley USTA Section Hall of Fame.

In 2020, she received collegiate tennis’s highest honor, the ITA Meritorious Service Award, recognizing her four decades of extraordinary impact on the sport.
