Shaun Pendleton | Lynn University | Men’s Soccer Coach | 1991-07
Shaun Pendleton spent 17 years on the sidelines with the men’s soccer program, accumulating a 293-42-12 mark with two national championships, three national runner-up finishes, six SSC titles and 14 postseason appearances.

He arrived in 1991 and immediately put his name in the record books by going 22-0-2 and winning the program’s second national crown.  He would go on to win his second, and the program’s third national title, in 2003 with a 22-0-1 mark.  His overall numbers were staggering as he has won 17 or more games in a season on nine occasions, averaging 16.8 wins a year, while having lost four or more games just four times.

Lynn’s teams were built on explosive offensives and staunch defense, scoring 50 or more goals 13 times and yielding 20 goals or less 13 times with 177 shutouts.  During his time coaching in the Sunshine State Conference, no team won more regular season (4) and tournament titles (2) than Lynn and no school had more defensive player of the year selections.

He left Lynn in 2007 as the NCAA Division II all-time winningest coach, a mark that still stands today and he ranks 11th all-time among all NCAA Divisions.  The Sheffield, England, native coached 46 All-America selections for Lynn, 70 All-SSC honorees and 23 Scholar All-Americans.

Following his tenure at Lynn, Pendleton moved on to Division I Appalachian State until his passing in 2011.
