Declan Link | Rollins | Men’s Soccer | 1987-90
All-American forward for the Tars, Declan Link put together one of the most illustrious careers in Rollins men’s soccer program history. In his first season, he set a freshman school record with 16 goals and 37 total points. He still dots the Rollins record book, ranking fifth in career goals scored (43) and sixth in career points (103).
Link was named Second Team All-America in 1989 and was a three-time All-South Region and All-Sunshine State Conference selection. He was also a two-time All-State selection, including a trip to the Florida State All-Star game alongside the top Division I stars in 1989. He was inducted in the Rollins Sports Hall of Fame in 2000.
A staple next to current Rollins head soccer coach Dr. Keith Buckley on the Tars bench, Link will enter his 26th year with the Tars coaching staff in the fall of 2016. Links assists in all aspects of the program, focusing on player development and strategy. His leadership has been instrumental in the Tars’ strong soccer tradition.
A native of Middlesex, U.K., he currently resides in the Orlando area with his wife Katy, and their three sons Alexander, Thomas and Jack.
