Dori Stankewitz - Florida Southern College, Softball
Stankewitz was an All-American softball player in 1987 and 1988 and also was named GTE/CoSIDA Academic All-American in 1987 and 1988. The Beloit, WI native was a three-time All-SSC and All-South Region pick. The pitcher holds NCAA Division II records with 20 strikeouts in a game, 64 consecutive scoreless innings pitched, and strikeouts per seven innings (11.5 in a season and 10.3 career). She holds 20 school records and was 81-15 for her career with a 0.70 earned run average. She walked only 152 and struck out 927 in 630.1 innings. The Mocs were 75-1 in the SSC and 150-33 overall during her career. Stankewitz earned her master's degree in Pyschology from Northern Illinois University.
