MELBOURNE, Fla.– Florida Southern College takes the top spot in 2014 Sunshine State Conference preseason men’s basketball coaches poll, receiving 63 total votes and seven of nine first place votes. Florida Southern has been crowned SSC regular-season and tournament champions each of the last three seasons.

MELBOURNE, Fla.– Sunshine State Conference women’s basketball coaches select The University of Tampa as the 2014 – 2015 preseason favorite. The Spartans received 60 total votes and four of nine first place votes. At 14-2 in SSC play, Tampa won the 2013 - 2014 conference regular season and was runner-up in the postseason tournament.
