51 Swimmers and 21 Relay Teams Qualify for NCAA National Championships

The National Championship will be held in Indianapolis March 11-14

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - SSC swim teams will send 51 individual swimmers and 21 relay teams to the 2020 NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Championships, it was announced by the NCAA Swimming and Diving committee on Wednesday, February 26th. The event will be held March 11-14 in Geneva, Ohio, at the SPIRE Institute Aquatics Center.

Of the individual qualifiers representing the SSC, 26 are male, and 25 are female. Of the 21 relay teams, 10 are men's teams, and 11 are women's teams.

The University of Tampa and Nova Southeastern University will send the bulk of the swimmers to the national meet at 19 and 15, respectfully.  Four league swimmers enter the National Championship as the overall top qualifier. In the men's heats, Brett Saunders from Tampa is seeded first in the 200 IM and 400 IM. For the women, Nova Southeastern's Cassie Wright is the top qualifier in the 100 Back, while Tampa's Courtney Sherwood is the pre-meet leader in the 200 Fly.
