Men's Basketball Player of the Week

McClure secures Player of the Week honors after leading Saint Leo to wins against Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and No. 19 Barry University last week. The product of Concord, North Carolina, scored a team-high 20 points on Wednesday evening as Saint Leo bested ERAU, 92-85, at home. He then scored a game-high 27 points in a 105-86 win against nationally-ranked Barry on Saturday. McClure scored his 47 points by shooting 57% from the field (12-21), 79% from the free-throw line (15-19), and 50% from behind the arc (8-16). The senior also provided his team with nine assists, three rebounds, and a steal. The weekly award is the second of his career.
Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
Jalyn Hinton / Florida Southern College / Jr. / Forward / Boston, Massachusetts
Hinton takes Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second time this season following FSC's wins against Eckerd College and Palm Beach Atlantic University. The Bostonian began the week with a block and four defensive rebounds in FSC's 92-84 road victory at Eckerd. Hinton ramped it up in FSC's 81-79 nail-biting win over PBA, grabbing eight defensive boards while blocking six shots and tallying a steal. Offensively, Hinton provided his team with 28 points, six assists, and a pair of rebounds.
Women's Basketball Player of the Week
Jordan Tully / Nova Southeastern University / Sr. / Forward / Winnipeg, Manitoba
Tully averaged 28.0 points and 6.5 rebounds across two conference games last week to earn Player of the Week accolades. The Canadian totaled a career-high 29 points in 28 minutes as NSU defeated Palm Beach Atlantic University, 76-55, on Wednesday. She followed with a game-high 27 points in an 84-71 win over Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University on Saturday. Tully scored her 56 points by shooting 58% from the field (23-40), 67% from the free-throw line (8-12), and 100% from behind the arc (2-2). In her 57 minutes on the court last week, she totaled 13 rebounds, five steals, three assists, and two blocks. Tully is now averaging 18.3 points per game, two points higher than anyone in the SSC.
Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
Maya Price / Eckerd College / Center / So. / Edmunds, England
Price earns weekly accolades by leading Eckerd defensively in two SSC victories last week. During a 68-56 win over Florida Southern College, she pulled in a career-high 14 rebounds and four blocks. Price added nine points and two steals to her team's stat sheet as the Tritons held FSC to 12 points under their season scoring average. At Rollins College on Saturday, Price recorded five rebounds, a block, and a steal in the 74-66 Eckerd victory. Price finished the week with 19 rebounds, 13 points, five blocks, and three steals.
Men's Swimmer of the Week
Alex Norcini / Rollins / Jr. / Lilburn, Ga.
Norcini piloted Rollins to a pair of dual meet wins over the weekend against Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico (165-101) and Lynn University (188-77). The Lilburn, Georgia native won the 100 backstroke (54.08), 500 free (4:44.95), and was runner-up in 100 IM (52.07) while also swimming a leg of winning 200 medley relay (1:36.52) against Interamericana de Puerto Rico. The next day against Lynn, Norcini won 200 free (1:44.27), 200 backstroke (1:54.88), and 500 free (4:41.46), while also swimming a leg on the runner-up 200 free relay (1:25.50). The weekly award is the second of his career.
Women's Swimmer of the Week
Sasha Maslova / Nova Southeastern University / So. / Moscow, Russia
Maslova takes Swimmer of the Week for the fifth time this season following her efforts against Keiser University last week. The Russian was a member of the 200 medley relay team that started the meet off with a win in 1:45.45. She posted individual wins in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:06.14, the 200 breaststroke in 2:20.86, and the 100 butterfly in 55.85. Heading into the postseason, she currently holds four Top-10 best times in NCAA Division II.
