Men's Basketball Player of the Week
E.J. Dambreville / Florida Southern College / So. / Guard / Dorchester, Massachusetts
Dambreville is awarded Player of the Week accolades for his performance in FSC's two wins last week. The Dorchester, Massachusetts native, scored a career-high 28 points and grabbed eight rebounds in an 84-56 victory over the University of New Haven. He followed with 23 points and a team-high 11 rebounds in a 105-94 win against No. 7 Valdosta State University. Dambreville scored his 51 points by shooting 65% from the field (20-31) and 52% from behind the arc (11-21). The sophomore played in 86% (69) of his team's minutes, where he recorded 19 rebounds, five assists, two steals, and two blocks.
Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
Darhius Nunn / Palm Beach Atlantic University / Sr. / Guard / Fairmont, West Virginia
Nunn earns Defensive Player of the Week honors following PBA's wins over Emmanuel College and Albany State University. The Fairmont, West Virginia product registered a game-high six steals to go along with four defensive rebounds during a 79-77 double-overtime win over Emmanuel. Nunn and the Sailfish held the Lions to 61 points in regulation, 15.5 points below their season average. In a 65-63 win against Albany State, the senior had a team-high three steals to help hold the Golden Rams below their season scoring average. For the week, Nunn totaled 20 points, 12 assists, nine steals, five rebounds, and a blocked shot.
Women's Basketball Player of the Week
Uloma Enyogasi / Lynn University / Forward / Jr. / Imo, Nigeria
Enyogasi takes Player of the Week honors after leading Lynn to victory against No. 10 University of Alaska - Anchorage. The Nigerian made a turnaround jumper with just 4.5 seconds on the clock that secured a 53-52 come-from-behind win for the Fighting Knights and the program's first-ever victory over a top-10 team. Enyogasi earned her first double-double of the season with game-highs in points (16) and rebounds (10). She shot 60% from the field (6-10) as well as 50% from the line (2-4) and behind the arc (2-4). The junior forward also blocked a shot and dished an assist in the victory.
Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
Claire McMahon / Nova Southeastern University / Guard / Jr. / Frankfort, Illinois
McMahon is awarded Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts in NSU's games against Daemen College and No. 10 University of Alaska - Anchorage. The Frankfort, Illinois product tallied seven defensive rebounds, two steals, and a block as the Sharks bested Daemen, 77-74, in Miami Shores. McMahon recorded nine defensive rebounds, a steal, and a block as NSU fell to UAA in a neutral site matchup. For the week, the junior guard averaged 9.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.5 assists, and 1.0 block shots per game. The weekly award is the second of her career.
