Nova Southeastern Sweeps Men’s and Women’s Team Titles for Second-Straight Year

CLEARWATER, Fla. – Nova Southeastern won both men’s and women’s Sunshine State Conference titles for the second-straight year to close a record-breaking SSC Swimming Championships at The Long Center in Clearwater.
 
Courtney DeVeny of NSU repeated as the SSC Women’s Swimmer of the Meet, joining Lynn’s Rebecca Matthews (2015-2016) as the only other repeat winner. Florida Southern’s Matthew Holmes became the first Moccasin to win the SSC Male Swimmer of the Meet.
 
A total of 11 conference and 19 meet records were broken over the course of the event.

Day 4 Top Performances:
Franco Lupoli of NSU started the day with a meet record in the 1650 freestyle in 15:34.17 and got the Sharks rolling. The Nova Southeastern 400 medley relay team crushed the meet and conference record to close event, stopping the clock at 3:21.16.
