Women’s Tournament Notes
Monday’s scoring average of 79.88 was just over a stroke higher than Round 1. Florida Tech’s 290 on Day One, which is good for third best in tournament history, remains the top round score for the tournament. Both Nova Southeastern and Florida Southern shot 291’s which now tie FSC’s 291 at Lake Jovita in 2013 for fourth best.
A bit of rain and stronger winds made scoring a bit less favorable on Monday. However, hole No. 11 continued to relive golfers. For the second day in a row it was the only hole to play below par. The par-4 No. 8 was the most difficult today, causing 37 of 50 golfers to shoot above par.
