Rollins Women Claim Eighth SSC Golf Title; SLU's Coors Takes Second Individual Title
KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. - Rollins College claims their eighth overall SSC golf championship. Marie Coors of Saint Leo becomes the fourth women’s individual champion to win multiple SSC titles. The 2016 event was hosted by Barry University at Crandon Golf at Key Biscayne.

Women’s Final Round Recap
Marie Coors finished Tuesday shooting the tournament's lowest round score of 71. Coors took the 2016 championship by six shots over teammate Vilde Eriksen. Coors also won the 2014 championship which took place at Lake Jovita in Dade City.
Annie Dulman and Lexie Toth of Rollins finish in a tie for third place. Dulman and Toth posted scores of 230 (14-over). Rounding out the Top-5 are Tilda Larsson of Barry and Aldana Foigel of Nova Southeastern. Larsson and Foigel tied for fifth place with 232 (16-over). The Top-5 competitors make up the All-Tournament team.
Rollins solidified the 2016 team championship with a final round 307. The Tars shot +71 on the extremely challenging Crandon Golf at Key Biscayne. Nova Southeastern took second place by four strokes. Saint Leo University came in third place shooting 81-over par.
Women’s Tournament Notes
SSC ladies averaged 82.41 per round for the tournament, with Tuesday’s round being the lowest at 81.80. The 2012 SSC championship continues to remind the conference of its brutal ways as it was the last time scores in back-to-back rounds were higher. The 2012 championship was held at the Concession in Bradenton, Florida.
Marie Coors (SLU) becomes the fourth woman, seventh golfer to win multiple SSC titles.
Coors and Annie Dulman (RC) become the 23rd and 24th SSC women’s golfers finish Top-5 two or more times.
Dulman finished Top-10 in the SSC event for the third time. Lexie Toth (RC) along with Coors earn their second Top-10 finish.
