PDF Bracket | Championship Central] Sunshine State Conference Women's Basketball Tournament quarterfinal match-ups will tipoff on Wednesday, March 2nd. All quarterfinal games will be hosted and broadcasted by SSC member institutions. Tournament semifinals and finals will be hosted by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University at the ICI Center in Daytona Beach.
Quarterfinal #1 | Location: Ft. Lauderdale | Time: 7 p.m.
No. 1 seed Nova Southeastern University (22-5, 13-3) will host the tournament No. 8 seed Lynn University (4-21, 2-14).
Nova Southeastern enters the tournament as the regular season champion for the second consecutive year, fourth overall. After droping the final game of the regular season to Florida Southern college, the Sharks are 5-3 in the month of February.
Lynn comes into the tournament with a 2-4 record in the month of February. The Fighting Knights' wins came over SSC opponents, Eckerd and Saint Leo.
This season, Nova Southeastern defeated Lynn on November 18th in Ft. Lauderdale, 67-58, and in their second matchup on January 27th, 68-51, in Boca Raton.
Quarterfinal #2 | Location: Miami Shores | Time: 5:30 p.m.
No. 4 Barry University (19-8, 10-6) will host No. 5 seed the University of Tampa (16-12, 9-7).
Barry secured the No. 4 seed after defeating Eckerd 88-72 in the regular season finale. With the win over the Tritons, the Buccaneers head into the tournament winners of eight of their last 10 matchups
Tampa claims the No. 5 seed follwiing winning three consecutive conference victories to end the season. The Spartans are 5-8 on the road this season but have won three of their last four road games.
Tampa defeated Barry, 70-52, on January 6th in Tampa. The Spartans then handed the Buccaneers a, 69-60, loss in Miami Shores on February 20th.
Quarterfinal #3 | Location: Melbourne | Time: 7 p.m.
No. 2 seed Florida Tech (18-8, 12-4) will host the No. 7 seed Eckerd College (12-13, 6-10).
Florida Tech comes into the tournament with a 4-3 record in the month of February. The Panthers won their final SSC contest over Saint Leo, 55-45. However, Florida Tech fell in their regular season finale to conference provisional member Palm Beach Atlantic, 82-67.
Eckerd fell to the No. 7 seed after a four game losing streak and a 2-4 record in February. The Tritons' last victory over a conference opponent was against Rollins on February 3rd.
Florida Tech took both games from Eckerd in the 2015-16 season series. The Panthers recorded a 69-49 win in St. Petersburg on December 2nd, and a 62-55 win in Melbourne on January 30th.
Quarterfinal #4 | Location: Lakeland | Time: 7 p.m.
No. 3 seed Florida Southern (23-4, 12-4) will host the No. 6 seed Rollins College (13-13, 7-9).
Florida Southern finished the 2015-16 regular season riding a five-game winning streak. FSC capped conference play with a win over the SSC regular season champions, Nova Southeastern.
Rollins closed out the season with a three-game win streak to secure the No. 6 seed. The Tar's bounced back after beginning the month of February with a 1-4 record.
Florida Southern defeated Rollins in Winter Park on January 20th, 72-66. Florida Southern also took the victory in Lakeland on February 10th by a score of 74-50.

Higher seeds will host during the quarterfinal rounds in the 2016 Sunshine State Conference Men's & Women's Basketball Championships. Semifinals and finals will be held at the
ICI Center on the campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach.
Both tournaments move to the ICI Center after three years at the Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee. Prior to Silver Spurs Arena, the tournaments were held at member institutions from 2002 to 2012. SSC tournament play begins on Wednesday, March 2nd and concludes on Sunday, March 6th.
