Pawel Trenda's 200 IM Mark Highlights Day One

ORLANDO, Fla. - The energy and excitement inside the Orlando YMCA Aquatic Center was palpable Thursday as the 2016 Sunshine State Conference Championships kicked off. Though not as many record breaking times were set on the four-day meets first day as in years past, the action was nonetheless lively.

Day One Finals

Top performances:

Saint Leo’s Pawel Trenda broke the seal on record-breaking performances, narrowly clipping his own championships record in the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:46.87, just a hundredth of a second quicker than the previous mark.
