Eighteen SSC Golfers Earn GCAA Division II All-American Honors
NORMAN, Okla.– The Golf Coaches Association of America announced the 2015 Division II PING All-America teams on Tuesday, June 23. The Sunshine State Conference had 13 golfers honored across three All-America teams and five were named All-America honorable mention.
Nova Southeastern’s Santiago Gomez, 2015 Jack Nicklaus Division II Player of the Year, anchors the first team. 2015 Phil Mickelson Outstanding Division II Freshman of the Year winner, Florida Southern’s John Coultas, also graces the first team. Joining Gomez and Coultas on the first team are Richard Mansell (Nova Southeastern), Mateo Gomez (Lynn), John Coultas (Florida Southern) and John Van Der Laan (Florida Southern).
Nova Southeastern captured its second NCAA Division II National Championship this past May, while Lynn finished runner-up. NSU’s Ryan Jamison was Named Dave Williams Men's Golf National Coach of the Year.
