Barry, Tampa, Nova Southeastern Listed in Eighth NSCAA Women's Poll of 2015

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Sunshine State Conference is represented in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Women’s Top 25 poll by No. 7 Barry University, No. 19 University of Tampa, and No. 24 Nova Southeastern University. The poll was announced Tuesday, October 27th.
 
Barry continues its stronghold on the No. 7 position after wins over Nova Southeastern University (2-0) and Palm Beach Atlantic University (4-1). The Buccaneers are 6-0-1 in their last seven games, 11-2-1 overall, and 6-1-1 in SSC play. With the win over NSU, Barry has secured the No. 1 seed for the 2015 SSC Women's Soccer tournament. They will have a first round bye and host for the semifinals and finals.

No. 19 Tampa hops back into the national rankings after previously being ranked in Week 4 this season (No. 22). Tampa rounded out SSC play this year with a 3-1 loss at Florida Institute of Technology but bounced back with a win over Webber International (5-0). The Spartans are 10-3-3 overall this season and went 5-2-1 in SSC play.

No. 24 Nova Southeastern drops nine spots after previously vaulting into the NSCAA Top-25 last week. Prior to last week, the Sharks were last ranked on September 13, 2011 (No. 21). NSU fell in the poll after a loss to No. 7 Barry University and tie with Eckerd College. With one SSC match left, the Sharks are 11-3-1 overall, 4-2-1 in SSC play.
