Rollins' Giblin and NSU's Williams Selected Women's Soccer Players of the Week

Rollins' Lindsay Giblin and Nova Southeastern's Jahmila Williams have been named the Sunshine State Conference Women's Soccer Players of the Week for the period ending September 16.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK --  Rollins junior forward Lindsay Giblin (Naples, Fla.) put on an offensive display in a pair of Rollins wins for the week.  In a 4-0 conference-opening win against Barry, Giblin registered two goals and an assist.  She had posted the same offensive performance (2 goals, 1 assist) in a 4-1 win against Embry-Riddle earlier in the week.  The Tars’ victory versus Barry was their first in 14 meetings against the Buccaneers.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK -- Nova Southeastern senior defender Jahmila Willams (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) helped propel the Sharks to a pair of wins against Top 25 teams last week.  In a 3-1 SSC-opening victory over No. 14 Saint Leo, Williams and the Shark defense limited the Lions to just four shots on goal.  In a 3-2 victory versus #6 Central Oklahoma, 24th-ranked NSU limited the Broncos to seven shots on goal, with one of the teams two goals coming on a penalty kick.
