NSU's Brauher and Rollins' Dillingham Tabbed Women's Soccer Players of the Week

Nova Southeastern's Elizabeth Brauher and Rollins' Michelle Dillingham have been named Sunshine State Conference Women's Soccer Players of the Week for the period ending October 4.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK --  Nova Southeastern senior M Elizabeth Brauher (Hilo, Hawaii) factored in two of the Sharks’ three goals in a 3-2 SSC victory over Tampa.  Brauher scored the first goal of the match in the 15th minute and then assisted on NSU’s second goal of the contest about five minutes later.  The victory marked the Sharks’ first win over Tampa, with the Spartans having taken the upper hand in eight previous meetings.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK --  Rollins sophomore GK Michelle Dillingham (Debary, Fla.) notched a pair of wins with a 0.50 GAA.  In a battle of two nationally-ranked SSC foes, Dillingham made four saves to preserve the No. 8 Tars’ 2-1 win at No. 16 Florida Tech.  The outcome marked only the second time this season that the Panthers were limited to a single goal and snapped a school-record eight-match win streak for Tech.  Closing out the week with a 2-0 conference shutout over Eckerd, Dillingham played off of the line to help hold the Tritons without a single shot in the contest.
