Lynn's Williams Tabbed Women's Basketball Player of the Week

Lynn senior guard Jade Williams has been selected Sunshine State Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the period ending January 11.

Williams (Orlando, Fla.) led the Fighting Knights to a pair of conference wins, averaging 20.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.0 steals, and 1.0 assist per game.  In a 72-62 win over Nova Southeastern, Williams tallied 22 points, nine rebounds, two steals and an assist, helping the Knights overcome a 17-point deficit for the victory.  In a 56-35 victory over Eckerd, she notched 19 points, nine rebounds, four steals, and an assist.  For the week, Williams shot a solid 44 percent (8-for-18) from three-point range.  She went 12-of-31 (39 percent) from the field and 9-of-16 (56 percent) at the free throw line.
