Lynn's Anthony Boza headlined the National Collegiate Baseball Writers of America (NCBWA) All-South Region Team. Boza added yet another Player of the Year award to his impressive spring haul.
A total of 12 SSC players were recognized on the team. Boza was joined on the first team by Tampa's Sean Bierman and Andrew Jones, Florida Tech's Ryan McChesney, Nova Southeastern's Carlos Asuaje and Areo Regoli, and Florida Southern's Mike Snyder. Named to the second team were Tampa's Ben O'Shea and Zach Gawrych, Lynn's Shawn Kale, NSU's Zachary Westcott, and Florida Tech's James Mannara.
Boza posted some extraordinary numbers for Lynn. He appeared in the top-three of eight of the league's offensive statistical categories. The senior out of Miami, Fla., ranked first in the SSC with a .731 slugging percentage, 50 RBI, and 128 total bases. His .406 batting average ranked second, as did his 71 hits, 18 doubles, and 13 home runs. Posting a .473 on-base percentage, Boza appeared at No. 3 in that category.
