NSU's Maggs and Rollins' Griffin Take Home Final Baseball Player of the Week Awards
Nova Southeastern's Dusty Maggs and Rollins' Tim Griffin have claimed the final Sunshine State Conference Baseball Player of the Week awards of the season.
 | PLAYER OF THE WEEK -- Nova Southeastern junior 1B Dusty Maggs (Satellite Beach, Fla.) ended his season in fine fashion, batting .750 with six runs and nine RBI in the Sharks’ SSC series sweep against Lynn. Maggs tallied multiple hits in each game and pounded six extra-base hits en route to a robust 1.917 slugging percentage. He began the series with a pair of doubles in NSU’s 12-7 win in the opener. He then had two home runs in each game of Saturday’s double header. Scoring three runs in each contest, he racked up six RBI in a 16-6 win in game one and drove in three runs in a 16-3 win in the nightcap. Maggs concluded the series with a .733 OPB and a 1.000 fielding percentage. |
